Artist Statement · 인사말
이다연은 샌프란시스코 베이 에어리어에서 활동하는 한국 무용수입니다. 세종대학교 무용학과에서 한국무용을 전공했으며, 이매방류 살풀이와 강선영류 태평무를 춥니다.
"정중동(靜中動) — 멈춤 속의 움직임, 움직임 속의 멈춤."
한 동작이 다음 동작으로 풀려나기 전에, 충분히 머무르도록 합니다.
현재 한사모(Hansamo)에서 강사로 활동하며 학생들과 무대를 만들어가고 있습니다.
Dayeon Lee is a Korean traditional dancer based in the San Francisco Bay Area. Trained in Korean Dance at Sejong University, she specializes in Salpuri (살풀이) and Taepyeongmu (태평무) — two of the most revered classical forms in the Korean canon.
"Jeongjungdong — stillness within motion, motion within stillness."
Each gesture is given room to breathe before it resolves into the next.
She currently teaches at Hansamo (한사모), creating performances together with her students.

살(殺)을 푸는 춤. 흰 수건이 허공에 그리는 선으로 슬픔과 회한을 비워낸다. 이매방류.

태평성대를 비는 춤. 왕실 의례의 절제된 발디딤(보법)이 살아있는 무형문화재.
